I often get asked, “Who designed your website?” Although this is probably something I should have outsourced completely, I have built my own WordPress site – outsourcing only parts of it. I use a WordPress platform, and purchase design themes, this takes care of all the coding I definitely do not want to do. I then customize the site to my preference.
Here’s how to get started:
Purchase a domain name and hosting. I use GoDaddy.
Install WordPress, Drupal, or Joomla (this is all done through GoDaddy. One of the techs can probably help you get it installed.
Login to the worpress portion of your site: yourdomainname. com/wp-admin
